BBC America bought the series. I am looking around for more information and I keep everyone posted. I have no information on when the second series of Mistresses will be shown on the BBC. They wrapped up filming at the end of November. Posted, 14 January 2009

Mistresses is out on DVD in the Netherlands. While the series didn't do much on TV, the DVD is a hit so far. It gets lots of good reviews in papers and it sells very well. Posted 26 May 2008

The company Just Entertainment brings out Mistresses in the Netherlands. They said it is in the stores now, but if you order it you have to wait a few weeks to get it. So it is a bit unsure if the DVD is out already. I keep you posted on this. There is nothing known yet about the extra's on the DVD. You can (pre)order the DVD here. Posted 27 April 2008

I think that RTL 4 in the Netherlands gave up on Mistresses. They switched the program with another one, so it started an hour later. It was again on at 10.30 pm (local time). 279.000 people watched the final episode and rated it wit a 1.9%. It is too bad that this series didn't get a fair chance in the Netherlands. It was fun to watch it for sure. Filming for series 2 starts later on this year as both Sharon Small and Sarah Parish are expecting a baby any time soon.  Posted 8 April 2008

The view ratings for Mistresses go down every week. This week the program started an hour later. For some unknonw reason RTL 4 decided to switch Mistresses with "Van Amstelveen naar Afrika". That programme had more viewers than Mistresses had at that hour. 312.000 people watched Mistresses (605.000 for the other programme) and it had a share from 2.1%, while the other programme had a share of 4.0 %. Posted 1 April 2008

Mistress drew even less people to the screen yesterday. 377.000 people watched it and gave it a 2.5% in the ratings. Maybe it was because it was Easter and some very populair Dutch programmes are on at the same time (posted 25 March 2008)

At The Foot of The Cross
Aled Jones introduces a meditation on Christ's journey to the cross. The St Paul's Cathedral Consort is joined by the BBC Concert Orchestra for a special Good Friday performance of the Faure Requiem and passion-tide music, including Allegri's Miserere Mei, and Good Friday hymns. Sharon Small and Ben Miles tell the story of Christ's passion with Gospel readings and poetry, and the BBC Radio 2 Young Chorister of the Year Joel Whitewood sings the famous Pie Jesu. The Director of Music is Andrew Carwood. You can listen to this on  BBC radio 2, this coming Friday, 21 March at 7.30 PM and if you don't live in the UK you can click here for the link to listen to the programme. Be sure to have a Real Player installed on your computer before you listen. Many thanks to Marmite for the information. (posted 18 March 2008)

Its official! There will be a second series of Mistresses. The series was a huge succes in England and now the BBC announced a second series. Filming start later this year and the new episodes will be on the British TV sreens some time next year. (posted 18 March 2008)

It seems that Mistresses isn't a succes in the Netherlands. 440.000 people watched the 3rd episode and gave it a share of 2.9%. (posted 18 March 2008)

The second episode of Mistresses was on the Dutch TV yesterday and the ratings were not that good. Only 494.000 people watched this episode and it got a share of 3.3%. It didn't made it into the top 25 of most watched programs of the day. Hopefully the figures will go up soon. (posted 11 March 2008)

Mistresses made her entrance to the Dutch TV with a lot of trailers on TV and some very small articles in TV guides and newspapers. It is also mentioned in a "Where we stay at home for in the Spring" article in one of the TV guides. 583.000 people saw the first episode of Mistresses last night. It had a share of 3,9% and ended 23rd in the "most watched programs of the day"list. Too bad that there are some very populair Dutch TV programs on at the same time. I hope the next episodes will do better. I keep you posted. (posted 4 March 2008)
Mistresses will be out on DVD 4 February. You can visit Play.com or Amazon.co.uk. (posted 20 January 2008)
