The first episode of the last series was shown on TV on Wednesday 2 January. This episode, Limbo, was banned from the English TV, drew almost 1,4 million viewers, which made it one of the best watched KRO detectives. "This is the best watched Lynley episode ever."

In the last Inspector Lynley "Know Thine Enemy", the body of a missing schoolgirl is found in a lake. It turns out that she is the victim of rape and that she was probably held hostage for a while.
